Is This Typical? Early Signs of Learning Differences
Overview
Let's face it...being a parent is hard. Even when things are going 'right', supporting your growing child can be filled with anxiety.
When it comes to learning differences, how do you know what is normal variation from typical developmental milestones and what should be watched more closely? We are so emotionally invested in our children that recognizing these variations can be difficult. Join me for a discussion on learning difference where we'll break down the noise and develop some practical guideposts for everyday parents to help navigate and support your child's growth.
Together we'll explore:
- What’s considered “typical” for reading, writing, math, attention, and behavior
- Early signs of learning differences like dyslexia, ADHD, and language processing issues
- When and how to seek support—from school teams or outside professionals
- Ways to respond with empathy, action, and hope
Audience: K-12 Parents, Caregivers, Educators, Community Members
