Overview

Learn the basics of safe tool use in our Wood Shop while building a simple woodworking project.

Get hands-on in our Wood Shop and learn the fundamentals of safely using our equipment in this beginner-friendly class. You’ll practice essential woodworking skills while creating a simple project—a custom cheeseboard to take home.

Tools covered include:

  • Table Saw
  • Miter Saw
  • Planer
  • Belt and Disc Sander
  • Finish Nailers
  • Drill Press

Instructor: Jeff Halldorson

Ages 16 and 17 welcome with a parent/guardian!

All clothing should be non-synthetic (cotton or canvas is recommended), Long pants, long or short sleeve shirt, boots or other closed toe shoes, hair-tie for long hair, safety glasses and hearing protection.

Registration closes two (2) days before the event.

Attendees can receive refunds up to 7 days before your event start date.

Active members receive 25% off class list price.
