Intro to Tapestry Weaving - Summer Camp

Dates: Thursday, July 17, 9am -12pm. Sales end: July 10. Ticket: $40. Instructor: Catherine Orsini. Materials fee: $15. Skills Needed: none. Class Limit: 8. Class Location: 2nd Floor. Age Range: 9-99, minors must have an adult companion.

This class is an introduction to tapestry weaving and is intended for beginners. A warped loom with the bottom header started will be provided to students as well as an assortment of wool. Our goal will be to practice bubbling, tension, securing the wool, color changes, meet and separate , and finishing a small tapestry bookmark. If we have time, we will also learn how to rewarp the loom.

Supplies to Bring:

• 2-3 tapestry needles, scissors
• $15 materials fee payable to the instructor at start of class. Cash or check only accepted. The fee includes a simple loom to take home and wool yarn for class.

Depending on the CDC Guidelines for Hamilton County at the time the class is held, a mask may be required. If so, you will be notified before the first class.

This class is designed for ages 9 and above. Minors who register for the class must be accompanied by a registered adult who agrees to assist the minor during the class. Contact Lorain Pettit at lorain.pettit@gmail.com for permission before registering any minor in a class.

Fees are non-refundable. Your fee will only be refunded if the class is canceled or changed to a different date. Three registrations are required for a class to be held. Students will be notified before the start date if a class is canceled due to an insufficient number of students. Eventbrite processing and credit card payment fees will not be refunded if a student cancels for any reason.
