Join Girasol Senior Program Coordinator Monica Romo for a workshop focusing on secondary trauma, grief, and healing when working with immigrant families. 2 CEUs will be offered for full attendance and participation during this training.

Learning objectives

1. Learn the basics of trauma, secondary trauma, and burnout, including interpersonal, organizational, and systemic factors;

2. Apply this knowledge to the unique settings of immigration work;

3. Better understand the process of grief; and

4. Discuss avenues for healing at the individual, organizational, and community levels.
