About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

The Genomics Compute Cluster (GCC) is a part of Northwestern University's high performance computing (HPC) cluster, Quest. New users are strongly encouraged to watch our "Introduction to Quest" video series as GCC orientation will cover specifics of using the GCC but assumes some familiarity with HPC systems. These orientation sessions provide an overview of the GCC resources available and focus on best practices for submitting jobs and managing data with those resources. Orientation sessions also include some review of Quest command line utilities. New users are asked to register for an orientation session upon submitting an application to join the GCC, but existing users or those curious about the service are welcome to register and attend as well.

Sessions are offered on multiple dates and times in Chicago, Evanston, or virtually. Please see the list above for exact location details for each virtual date. For in-person sessions, please see the other listing.

These sessions will not be recorded, but if you would like to use the GCC and cannot attend any of the scheduled sessions, please reach out to haley.carter@northwestern.edu.
