CommuniTEA events provide a learning encounter that converges with the tradition of afternoon tea to support an interactive and collaborative training culture. CommuniTEA events are participant-centric facilitation comprised of three core developmental concepts:

1. Participants’ interaction and collaboration are the central focus. All learning events will focus on the development of the students, not the facilitator’s expertise.

2. A principal objective is to meet the participants’ fundamental expectations for learning. For example, the offerings will be timely, relevant, insightful, practical, and useful.

3. Experiential learning and action learning strategies, methods, and practices will be implemented. This includes but is not limited to, the experience of afternoon tea.

Impactful learning experiences are engaging and communal. Nestled within the art of afternoon tea are beautiful embellishments, infusions, aesthetic pleasures, and extraordinary hospitality. These elements encourage psychological safety, thereby supporting a safe learning space for interpersonal risk-taking wherein participants feel accepted and respected.

Although not initially apparent, learning and afternoon tea are balanced compliments. The learning objective for any CommuniTEA event is to inspire and support participants in their development journey by creating learning experiences that stimulate growth and progression. If these events also produce afternoon tea enthusiasts, that would be a thrilling accomplishment as well.
