About this event
The Invisible String Workbook was co-written by Patrice Karst and Dr. Dana Wyss to explore creative activities for therapists, teachers, and parents to inspire imagination, improve connections, and explore creativity. Utilizing activities from The Invisible String Workbook, this training provides an overview of attachment theory and how disruptions in attachment affect youth and families.
Through activities selected from the workbook we will explore ways to integrate expressive arts activities in your clinical work to promote creativity and connection. Finally, there will be time dedicated to discussion of how these activities have been effective in group curriculum, individual and family therapy, and adaptations or modifications made to address different developmental and functioning levels. Dr. Wyss has provided these workshops and individual therapy for clients who have experienced complex developmental trauma, youth who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation, military families, and for employee wellness in response to vicarious trauma.
