Who We Are...Campbells Lane Farm has transitioned from a traditional Horse Farm to...

A Sanctuary for Human and Animals to deeply rest, feel safe, and Find Inspiration.

Campbell's Lane Farm has been described as a "spiritual" space by many quests and visitors. As the steward of CLF I have, finally, listened to the land, animals and my own personal longings to guide me into this next phase. Anything is possible when we come from a heart-centered awareness. ~ Anne Altvater

Frequently asked questions

Can I feed the donkeys?

The short answer is no. The reason is donkeys and horses have special diets. Unlike people, they can't throw up, so if they eat something that is not good for them, they can't throw it up. If you want to bring carrots, you can leave them in the basket and we will give them to them at meal time.

Can I bring food in for my group or for the animals?

Please leave any food, mints, gum, candy, etc. in the car because the donkeys will smell them in your pockets and may try to take them, which is not good for them or you. You are welcome to bring a bottle of water.

Can I bring pets?

No pets are allowed. Outside animals (animals who don't live here already) are not allowed on the farm for safety reasons.

Do the donkeys bite?

The donkeys, like all animals, have teeth and can bite. The staff will show you how to approach the donkeys (fingers can look like carrots) for your safety.

What should I expect?

A staff Guide will greet your group, tell you about the donkeys you will be meeting and share rules and tips for a safe and enjoyable experience. Your Guide will take your group to start your time with the donkeys, and stay with you while you cuddle, brush and connect with these amazing animals.

Can children participate?

Children are welcome under adult supervision. Children 16 & over are welcome to participate without a parent if they have a release signed (email us). Kids can bring a favorite book to read to the donkeys (Jackie is a great listener).

What if it is raining?

We will still have cuddling sessions if there is mild inclement weather such as light rain. Events may be moved indoors, cancelled or delayed if there are more extreme conditions such as thunderstorms. If you have concerns about the weather for your scheduled date please contact us at 410-310-8033.

What do I wear?

Dress appropriately for the weather the day you plan to come to the farm. Wear closed toe shoes, no flip flops, sandals, or crocs. Consider sun block and bug spray for warmer the months.**Attendees without proper footwear may not be allowed to enter the pastures/enclosures for safety reasons.**
