Community Meal and World Culture Recognition
Overview
A World of Cultures in Mounds View
Celebrating Unity Through Diversity
Mounds View, Minnesota, may be a small city—but it holds a world of stories, traditions, and voices. From the aromas of family recipes passed down through generations to the vibrant rhythms of music from across the globe, our city reflects the beauty of cultural diversity.
This year, we’re proud to host “World Culture Day: A Community Meal”—a gathering inspired by months of listening sessions with residents who asked for more connection, more conversation, and more community. This event is more than a shared meal; it’s an invitation to step into one another’s worlds, even if just for an evening.
Whether your heritage traces back to West Africa, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, or the Dakota homelands right here, your culture matters. Your presence matters. We believe that belonging begins when we make space for each other’s stories—and when we say, with open arms, Welcome. Home.
Together, let’s transform our tables into bridges and our differences into strengths. Because in Mounds View, diversity isn’t something we visit—it’s something we live.
