This event will conduct an investigation into the forms and hermeneutics of self-narrative, focusing in particular on new forms (such as autotheory, autosociology, and autoethnography), original spaces occupied (in contemporary art, cinema or on digital platforms), emerging issues (the link with creative non-fiction and the essay, the legal stakes of self-writing, etc.) and ongoing and new political uses (feminist reinvestments of the personal as political; postcolonial self-affirmation; accounts of disability and illness).
Cette journée d’études se propose d’interroger les configurations et les herméneutiques du récit de soi, en portant une attention particulière aux formes nouvelles (comme l’autothéorie, l’autosociologie ou l’autoethnographie), aux espaces inédits où elles s’élaborent (qu’il s’agisse de l’art contemporain, du cinéma ou des plateformes numériques), aux problématiques émergentes (rapport à la non-fiction créative et à l’essai, enjeux juridiques de l’écriture de soi, etc.), ainsi qu’aux usages politiques actuels et nouveaux (réinvestissements féministes du personnel comme politique ; affirmations postcoloniales de soi ; récits du handicap et de la maladie).
