Coring and Core Analysis Challenges and Best Practice

À propos de cet événement
Laboratory core analysis data has been and still is the reference for calibrations of other measurements such as downhole logs, mainly because many of the core properties are directly measured in controlled laboratory environments comparing to the in-directly derived or inverted reservoir properties from downhole measurements such as logs and well tests. However, in order to confidently use core data, it is almost a requirement that data users be familiar with how the cores are obtained, i.e., factors affecting coring and core handling operations to ensure that core samples used in the laboratory are representative of target reservoir, and how the core data are measured in terms of precision and accuracy, the main objectives of the seven sessions of this workshop series.
