A Greener Goodbye: Continuing the Exploration of Eco Friendly Burials

By Honest Weight Food Co-op

Overview

This is a continuation of the first talk on green burials—a thoughtful, sustainable alternative to conventional burial practices.

This is a continuation of the first talk on green burials—a thoughtful, sustainable alternative to conventional burial practices. Previous and new attendees are welcome. At each meeting we will share information that each of us has discovered, such as biodegradable caskets, and conservation burial grounds. The intention is to continue in community to support each other with practical insights into how each of us can leave a gentler footprint on the earth. Whether you’re curious, planning ahead, or simply passionate about sustainability, these conversations will inspire new perspectives on how our final act can be one of giving back to nature

Meet your Facilitator: Reverend Steve Andersen is an interfaith chaplain at the Albany Medical Center. He is also a Spiritual Director and has been trained in Thanatology and as an end-of-life doula from University of Vermont.
