Battery technology , IoT, Edge and Analytics/Data Science associated with these technologies is at center of Technology tremendous business/tech growth today. Battery IoT Edge Computing knowledge and Skills are desirable considering inevitable transition to electrification of mobility, computing and communication to edge. The battery specialized course aims to bridge science and society. For students focused on science, it will help illustrate the demands of society and industry. For learners from industry, business, or generalist backgrounds, it will be a lucid from introduction to advancement in the subject. This specialization is designed for whoever is an enthusiast in battery technology and wishes to pursue a career further. Battery Management System is an embedded system that ensures human safety in an Electric Vehicle. BMS not only ensures safety but also estimates the various state of health parameters of a battery pack. As the demand for Electric Vehicles is increasing so the demand for Lithium-ion batteries is increasing. Every battery pack developer needs an Engineer who can develop the required BMS.

IoT (Internet of Things) and Edge Computing is a system of interconnected devices and things such as computing machines, mechanical, digital machines, objects, animals that are connected over the internet. These devices and things can transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction. The built-in technology in the objects helps them interact with internal states or the external environment, which in turn affects the decisions taken.

What are the Course Objectives?

Basic understanding of Battery Technologies

Basic understanding of Battery Management Systems

Overview of Data Science techniques to analyze and feature engineering Battery Telemetry from Automative and Smartphone applications

Complete knowledge of IoT/Edge technology.

Learn features, benefits, core concepts, background technologies of IoT.

Understand sensors, communication interfaces microcontrollers to design and build IoT devices.

Understand how to construct prevalent computing architectures.
