在春意盎然的公园里，和我们一起动手，亲手打造一把属于自己的马扎儿吧！

这是一场完全免费的春日手作活动，我们将相聚在草坪，用各类回收布料、绳结一起动手编织马扎的坐席，完成的马扎将归你所有。特别的是，这批马扎的骨架都是亲人从国内千里迢迢带来的，因此数量非常有限，我们不得以将采取预约机制，以确保每位参与者都能安心制作、带走成品，并共享这段有趣而温馨的过程。

现场将为大家准备好所有所需材料，但我们担心这些布料会不够，所以真诚地希望大家可以带一些属于自己的旧的衣服、闲置的桌布，床单，窗帘。让这些承载回忆的布料被编织进属于你的马扎！

马扎的前身，也称“胡床”，最早由北方游牧民族（如匈奴、鲜卑）带入中原。到了宋代，“交杌”一词逐渐出现，其结构日益简化，强调便捷与实用。

时至今日，马扎仍以其独特的轻便性和适应性，深深嵌入我们的日常生活：在公园的绿荫下，它或许是陌生人促膝长谈的起点；黄昏的老街口，邻里围坐其上，唠着家常。看似平凡的一方小凳，实则拉近着人与人之间的距离。

它不占空间、不挑地形，可以随时展开，在任何地方为我们提供片刻支撑与歇息。也正因如此，马扎常常伴随着流动的市井摊贩、旅途中歇脚的人，成为一种“带得走的小家”。

马扎不只是坐具，它更是一件承载着迁徙记忆的文化物件。它所体现的灵活、韧性与随时展开的能力，正如无数身处异乡人的经验：流动中找寻安顿，于陌生中建立连接。马扎的存在提醒我们：流动不等于漂泊。它可以是一个临时的依靠，也是一种关系的触发器。无论是在胡同口、集市边，还是在哥德堡的某片草地上，它都可能成为一段对话的起点。在这个看似包容、却时常带有隐形界限的瑞典“公众空间”中，马扎为我们撑出一方自己的落脚点，一个可以坐下、可以分享、可以被看见的空间。

通过重新制作并使用一把马扎，我们或许也在重新理解“建立连接”的含义。它不仅是一个空间上的落脚点，更是文化、记忆与情感的临时停靠，或许还会是我们在当下世界重新搭建关系、彼此靠近的一种温柔而坚定的方式。

Join us in the park, surrounded by the freshness of spring, and craft your very own mazha - a traditional folding stool !

This is a completely free crafting event, and the stool you create will be yours to take home. What makes this workshop extra special is that the wooden stracture for these stools have been carefully brought all the way from China. Because of this, spots are extremely limited.

All materials will be provided, but we warmly encourage you to bring fabric of your own — unused clothes, old tablecloths, bedsheets, or curtains to weave your personal memories into your mazha and make it truly yours.

The mazha, once known as the hu chuang (胡床), was introduced to central China by northern nomadic peoples such as the Xiongnu and Xianbei. By the Song dynasty, the term jiaowu (交杌) emerged, referring to a simplified, more practical version designed for everyday convenience.

To this day, the mazha remains part of everyday life in China due to its adaptable and lightweight design. In a park, it may spark conversation between strangers; at a street corner, it invites neighbors to gather and share stories. This modest folding stool has a quiet power- it brings people closer together.

mazhas flexibility, resilience, and ability to unfold anywhere mirror the experiences of those living between cultures , seeking belonging while navigating unfamiliar ground. The mazha reminds us that movement doesn’t have to mean rootlessness. It offers both physical rest and social connection.

Whether placed in a back alley, at a market stall, or right here on a grassy field in Gothenburg, the mazha can be the beginning of a conversation.

In public spaces in Sweden- often seen as open and inclusive yet shaped by invisible boundaries, Mazha helps carve out a space of our own: a place to sit, to share, and to be seen.

By making and using your own mazha, you might come to reconsider what it means to connect. It becomes not only a place to rest, but also a vessel for memory, culture, and care , a gentle, portable way to feel at home in the world we move through together.
