Organisateur de SEND Conference 2023
We offer specialist outreach services to children and young people in mainstream and special needs schools across north and east London. Our team of expert SEND professionals work with children and young people with vision impairment, those who are deaf or hard of hearing, those who have learning difficulties or those with autism spectrum conditions. Through one-to-one support and by harnessing the latest technology, we seek to help pupils access the curriculum so they can flourish, lead independent and fulfilling lives and make a positive impact on the world.Across our outreach services, we adopt a flexible approach and are committed to meeting each pupil’s unique circumstances. In doing so, we work closely with school leaders and teachers, giving them the tools and knowledge to enable their pupils to thrive within a mainstream or special school environment.Offering a range of short and long-term programmes, the Centre welcomes teachers and support staff locally and regionally. There are courses to suit all levels of experience and expertise including support staff, trainee teachers, teachers and SENCOs.Whilst the Centre specialises in SEND provision, its courses are highly relevant to those in mainstream education. Without exception, its courses are informative, engaging and of high quality enabling participants to improve their skills and knowledge as well as furthering their careers. The Centre draws on the expertise and experience of teams working at Flourish Learning Trust schools in order to create programmes that are highly relevant to today’s school environment.Alongside its professional development courses, the Centre offers outreach services to schools across north and east London providing consultancy and support at management levels on all areas of their SEND provision. The Outreach Team also works with individual pupils with additional needs at mainstream schools creating bespoke solutions to enable them to access the full curriculum.Flourish Specialist Education Services is the Outreach Service for mainstream schools in Waltham ForestOur aims are as follows:To increase knowledge and understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in mainstream schoolsTo upskill and empower staff to meet the needs of their pupils with SENDTo contribute to improving the outcomes for children and young people with SEND and supporting their families
