Community groups working in rural areas play a key role in delivering local needs and priorities. Rural communities face challenges in accessing public services, transport, and digital connectivity. Lower wages, fuel poverty, and a lack of employment, training, or social opportunities, can also mean some rural communities experience more disadvantage than others.Our Getting to Grips With...programme provides targeted help and support to small, community-led, grass roots organisations who have not applied for Scottish Government, LEADER or Lottery funding before, or who have been unsuccessful with any of the applications they have made.
