We are a collaborative. Our group is comprised of Indigenous Educators, community-based Indigenous focused school staff in two school boards of Huron Perth counties, the Falstaff Family Centre, representative businesses, health agencies, social services and community members at large. We are advocates.Kaswentha/Two Row Now develops and hosts cultural programs promoting social connectedness and belonging for Indigenous students and families, including Indigenous children in foster care, Sixties Scoop Survivors, Indian Residential School Survivors held in various gathering places throughout Huron Perth counties. Awareness raising events and Teaching circles are held monthly for all who have interest in learning about Indigenous cultural ways.We are connected to history. The collaborative is people of Indigenous and non-Indigenous community members, guided by Indigenous teachers, speakers and knowledge holders who follow the values of the Kaswentha/Two Row wampum created in the 17th century between the Haudenosaunee/People of the Longhouse and the Dutch.Walking in Respect, Trust and Friendship creates the path of peace.
