Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MAHCC)

Building a Trusted Website:

National surveys show that the top three concerns users have about their online experience, particularly when ecommerce is concerned, are: 1) Is my personal information safe and secure?; 2) can I trust the site and the information on it?; and, 3) does the site represent a credible business and has a comprehensive and easy-to-understand Privacy Policy?

Your trust is important to us. Our website has been carefully designed and is being improved continuously in order to provide you with an informative, enjoyable, credible, and secure online experience.

For example, we use state-of-the-art, 128-bit Extended Validation security technology like Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to protect your e-Commerce transactions. Also, we partner with national and/or international organizations that are committed to maintaining the highest possible standards of service, security, reliability and trust, such as the Better Business Bureau, McAfee Secure,  EventBrite, Verisign, 1&1, and Paypal.

Finally, we have developed policies and operating procedures to protect your privacy, and have periodic, one-on-one training of our staff to ensure that they are faithfully followed.

About our Calendar of Events:

The MAHCC Calendar of Events does not include regular or special meetings of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, meetings of the different standing and ad-hoc committees, or any other activity where attendance is restricted to "members only."

Although we are a multilingual organization, unless otherwise indicated MAHCC-sponsored events are conducted in ENGLISH.

Inclement Weather Policy:

In the rare occasion that an event or meeting may be cancelled due to inclement weather, the MAHCC adheres to the Federal Government policy: If the Federal Government closes, events and meetings are cancelled, and if it announces a liberal leave policy, events will be held, but attendees should consider safety first in their decision to attend. Every effort will be made to post an event cancellation notice on the MAHCC website but, in its absence, the MAHCC Inclement Weather Policy takes precedence.

Moreover, since the MAHCC must pay for cancelled events, costs may not be refunded in whole or in part. Please call the Chamber office at 301-404-1946 for further information.

The MAHCC is a regional business organization serving the Mid-Atlantic Region. It has earned a sterling reputation for being one of the most dynamic chambers of commerce and it has become the leading voice of the Hispanic business community in the region.

In addition to serving the needs of its membership and enhancing their competitiveness in the marketplace, the MAHCC promotes also economic development and quality-of-life issues in the mid-Atlantic region, encourages lifelong-learning and workforce development, develops strategic alliances with like-minded organizations, provides a plethora of networking opportunities, and represents the business interest of its membership before councils of government.

Membership is open to women, veterans, small and minority business owners and corporations interested in drawing from the Hispanic workforce and/or entering the fast growing and increasingly affluent Hispanic consumer market.
