Mark Zubek
Mark Zubek helps singers with their artistic vision by co-writing and producing songs for them and then aggressively marketing them to TV shows, movies and commercials. Since 1992 Mark’s career has spanned Boston, New York and Toronto, writing and producing music for Universal, Warner, BMG and Virgin, as well as over 200 indie acts. Equally proficient on drums, electric and upright basses, guitars and keyboards, Mark’s writing, producing and performing credits include Grammy and Juno artists Betty Carter, Wynton Marsalis, The Crash Test Dummies, Greig Nori (Sum 41, Hedley, Treble Charger), Blaise Pascal (BMG), Jen Chapin, Canadian Idol winner Theresa Sokyrka, MapleMusic’s Hilary Weaver, Entertainment Tonight, Degrassi, Breakfast Television, Coca-Cola, Discovery Channel, Hasbro, Pringles, Dunkin’ Donuts and the “Love Stinks” movie with Tyra Banks and Bill Bellamy.
Mark is also an expert at getting FACTOR, OAC, and Canada Council grants for his artists – most of the artists who write songs with him end up with grant funding – over 60 successful grants to his credit. Mark is currently based in Toronto and is co-writing and developing new artists for Warner Records and Nettwerk Records.
