CDSA: Community Development and Substance Abuse

The Office of Community Development and Substance Abuse is part of the Office of Student Outreach and Support (SOS). SOS works to promote community and student engagement, teach life-long skills such as citizenship and responsibility, supports students in transition, responds to student crises, and helps student resolve interpersonal conflicts. SOS also provides education, outreach, and programming to promote and encourage healthy behaviors and enhance the overall student experience at MIT.

At the Office of Community Development and Substance Abuse (CDSA), we believe in creating strong communities and promoting a healthy social life. We use a non-judgmental approach to address alcohol and other drug use, stress, and violence.

All of our initiatives are student-driven and apply evidence-based strategies. We believe success in the classroom stems from a healthy life outside the classroom.

Work hard, play smart.
