How to buy Eventbrite tickets with SOFORT Banking

Events in Germany, Austria, and sometimes elsewhere in Europe, may allow you to pay with SOFORT Banking. Just use the drop-down menu next to "Payment Method" to choose "SOFORT Überweisung". Enter your registration details, select "Pay Now", and you're taken to the SOFORT Banking portal to complete the payment. If you're an organizer and want to use SOFORT Banking for your event, check out this Help Center article on how to set it up.

1. Select "Tickets" on the event listing.

Choose the number of tickets you want, then select "Checkout."

TIP: When you view an event listing on a desktop or tablet, you'll see an orange SOFORT symbol next to "Register" / "Order Now". This shows SOFORT is available.

2. Locate the Payment section. Then use the drop-down menu next to Payment Method to choose "SOFORT Überweisung".

On the order form, pick Credit/Debit Card next to Payment Method. Then select SOFORT Überweisung from the drop-down menu.

NOTE: If SOFORT Banking is not available, you may have other options like credit/debit card, SEPA Direct Debit (Germany and Austria only), PayPal, or an offline payment method. Available payment methods vary from event to event. If none of the available payment methods work for you, you can contact the organizer directly.

3. Enter your registration information, then select "Pay Now".

After choosing "Pay Now", you're taken the SOFORT Banking portal to complete the payment.

TIP: Check out SOFORT's step-by-step video on how to complete the payment.

PRO TIP: To ensure that tickets can be available for other customers, you have a time limit to register. Make sure to choose quickly—you'll still need extra time on the next page to enter your registration and billing information.

NOTE: Eventbrite takes the security and privacy of your billing information seriously. We process all payments over a secure connection using a PCI-compliant gateway.

4. Enter your Sort code, then select "Next".

If you don't have your Sort code at hand, hit the magnifying glass icon. Then enter your bank's name and branch location to find it.

TIP: If you'd like to learn more about how SOFORT Banking works, check out SOFORT's own How it Works page.

5. Log in to your online banking to complete the payment.

Enter your username or account number, and password or pin to log in to your online banking and complete the transaction.

TIP: Purchases where the cardholder’s issuing bank and acquirer bank are located in the EEA (minus countries with delays) are subject to SCA with 3DS2.0. Purchasers have to complete the authentication requirement for the issuing bank to purchase tickets. The authentication process is determined by the issuing bank.

6. View your SOFORT payment confirmation.

After the payment is complete, you'll receive a printable payment confirmation from SOFORT.

7. View your Evenbrite order confirmation email with your ticket.

You'll receive an order confirmation email from Eventbrite after successfully placing your order. It includes your tickets and other important information about the event (like the refund policy, parking, and weather plans).

8. Access your tickets on Eventbrite.com or from the Eventbrite mobile app.

You can print you ticket from the PDF attachment in the order confirmation email, or from the Tickets page in your Eventbrite account. You can also present your tickets when logged into the Eventbrite mobile app for iPhone or Android.
