Heroes Center Inc
At The Heroes Center, our mission is simple yet powerful: to stand in the gap for veterans, providing resources, connection, and hope, because no veteran should fight their toughest battles alone. Every initiative we lead reflects this commitment.
In January 2025, The Heroes Center entered a new era of leadership with a renewed focus on expanding our impact. We are building strong partnerships within the High Point community and across North Carolina to ensure veterans receive the support they deserve.
Our collaborations include becoming a Fort Bragg Chaplain-sponsored organization, supporting the Intelligence Electronics Warfare (IEW) Battalion, and working closely with the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) to help soldiers transition into civilian life with job opportunities and a welcoming community in the Triad.
Through Operation Next Step, we provide veterans with practical tools and guidance for career development, education, and life planning, empowering them to take the next step toward stability and success.
Our Welcome Home Mission, in collaboration with the High Point Elks Lodge, ensures veterans moving into permanent housing have the furniture and household essentials they need to start their next chapter with dignity.
Our Vet 2 Vet Mission creates spaces for fellowship, peer support, and social enrichment, because healing happens in community. As part of this mission, in 2026 we’re introducing our own pontoon boats, offering veterans day trips fishing and leisure rides at no cost, including the first ADA-accessible pontoon boat experiences in the region. These outings provide a safe, relaxing environment where veterans can connect, recharge, and enjoy the outdoors together.
Every program, every partnership, every effort is driven by one belief: freedom isn’t free, and neither is the journey home. Together, we can make sure no veteran walks that road alone.
