Eastwind Books of Berkeley’s theme of community bookstore was inspired by the 1970 Everybody’s Bookstore in San Francisco Chinatown-Manilatown International Hotel movement. We support and promote various authors at our book evenets and have been involved in the promotion of boks written by socially conscious authors including The Forbidden Book: The Philippine-American War in Political Cartoons, Other: An Asian Pacific Islander Prisoners Anthology, and is somethingn colonial.
