Dr. Mae Barker, BCBA-D - Parent Training Solutions

Dr. Mae Barker is a Doctoral-level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) with a passion for helping children and families.   Since 1997, she has been providing behavioral services to help children of all ages and abilities who have problematic behavior.  Her approach largely focuses on empowering parents, caretakers, and educational professionals by teaching them effective techniques based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis.  Dr. Barker is also a parent of three young children, and she strives each day to practice what she teaches others.

From 2005 to 2010, she was a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics in the College of Medicine at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. She also served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Florida for nearly ten years, teaching graduate level courses in Applied Behavior Analysis. She has served her community by being a board of director for two nonprofit organizations, the Jacksonville Speech and Hearing Center and the Florida Striders Running Club. For five years, she volunteered as a race director for a trail race that raised money for running programs in the schools and scholarships for high school athletes. She now focuses on serving others through her practice and raising her own family.
