Randy is currently the CEO of an international crisis organization specializing in kidnapping and crisis case management and training for faith-based humanitarian, aid, and missions organizations. In 2024 he retired form 34 years in public safety as an EMT, paramedic and police officer with the last 26 spent in local law enforcement in Minnesota. For his last three and a half years he was assigned as a task force officer with the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF). He is a recognized national expert in behavioral threat assessment and management (BTAM) and is a Certified Threat Manager through the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals. Randy co-founded the first community-based multidisciplinary threat assessment team in the state of Minnesota in 2015 and is a Master Trainer with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's National Threat Evaluation & Reporting (NTER) Program. NTER's courses are always FREE and include the 3-hour TERO (Threat Evaluation & Reporting Overview), 8-hour B-TERC (Basic Threat Evaluation & Reporting Course) and the 3-day TERC (Threat Evaluation & Reporting Course).
