Zurawski v Texas, named after the 2023 Texas lawsuit, follows the harrowing story of three of the women who sued the state of Texas after being denied access to emergency medical care under the state’s strict abortion ban. See the film that’s changing policy.
Variety called Zurawski v Texas “powerful,” “unflinching, cumulatively disquieting” and called directors Masie Crow and Abbie Perrault's approach to their film on reproductive healthcare access “undaunted storytelling.” IndieWire called the film “a harrowing documentary that makes the case for reproductive healthcare as a national necessity," while The Hollywood Reporter said it “courts audiences who might think the issue of abortion access has nothing to do with them” and goes on to say “for the unconvinced, the informative Zurawski v Texas reframes abortion as, above all else, a lifesaving healthcare right.”
This event is free and tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.
