Zenith Gallery Closing Night
Overview
Zenith Gallery Closing
Join us for the last hurrah for Zenith!
Come see the joint efforts by Ricardo and Adio!
"This series marks our first collaborative project, inspired by the joint works of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol—particularly their 1985 painting Zenith. Embracing their spirit of dialogue and exchange, we set out to merge our own artistic practices: Ricardo through screen printing and Adio through abstract expressionism. The outcome is a layered conversation of process, style, and vision, where two distinct voices converge into one unified expression.
The work developed over two full days (approximately 16 hours). We alternated roles in a cycle of layering: Ricardo began with silkscreen printing, followed by Adio’s expressive painting. Ricardo then added another layer, which Adio continued to build upon. This back-and-forth process created a dynamic visual dialogue, blending distinct voices into one unified piece."
The event will be held at 1821 18th St NW, so make sure to mark your calendars!
