Are the stories read from a book?

NO! The storytellers tell the stories "by heart" -- looking at the audience & using their face, body & voice to bring the story alive onstage & in the imagination of their audience. Like sitting around a campfire hearing scary stories but you'll be inside in a comfortable seat!

Are the stories really scary?

Yes, they are eerie tales that give your psyche a chill of the unknown. You'll hear classic ghost stories by Washington Irving, Ambrose Bierce & H.R. Wakefield, adapted for telling out loud. Also, a tale based on a real-life haunted theater in Portland, Oregon. They are spine-tinglers!

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Yes, if they are available. Tickets are $12 at the door, $10 if you buy ahead here.

Will it be boring?

On the contrary, hearing a scary story told out loud fires up your imagination and stimulates your senses. It will also make you want to tell your own stories -- so plan on catching a hot chocolate or other drink of your choice with your friends after the show & tell your own tales!

Any trigger warnings?

Accepted Answer

Obviously the stories are scary and involve ghosts or other menacing spirits, including spirits caused by people regretting their past actions. Also, one story  features suicide, and one death by public execution.
