Yule Ritual: Returning from Shadow to Light

Yule, or the Winter Solstice, marks the sacred turning point of the Wheel of the Year when we begin the slow shift from the dark half of the cycle toward the returning light.

Join Coven of Midnight's Flame in this transformative online ritual as we cross this powerful threshold together, honoring the darkness and the light, both within the season and within ourselves.

We'll evoke and leave offerings for the great Norse god and goddess, Odin and Frigga.

And then through a guided journeying meditation, we'll witness the mythic battle between the Holly King and the Oak King, a symbolic struggle between waning darkness and growing light.

From there, the energy of the ritual will shift as we welcome in the warmth and merriment of the transition into the light half of the Wheel.

You'll have the opportunity to participate in a traditional Norse Blót, offering toasts and honoring personal accomplishments from the past year and lighting candles to welcome the returning sun.

We'll conclude the ritual with a round of pagan Yule carols, celebrating hope, renewal, and the promise of what is yet to come!

This ritual is suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike, and is open to witches, pagans, empaths, and spiritually curious folks. Participation is always optional - you are welcome to keep your camera off and observe quietly, or to join in during the Blót if you feel called.

A recording of the event will be available afterwards for all ticket-holders who can't attend live or would like to go back and reexperience any part of the ritual.
