Overview

Develop learning outcomes as the foundation of your course design and have a look at Simple Syllabus.

This workshop is for instructors from the School of Visual Arts.

Your syllabus is where you articulate the arc of your course and illuminate the journey you and your students will take together. Clear learning outcomes form the foundation of that journey. How will your students be transformed by the work you do? What new skills will they develop? What will they be able to make or demonstrate?
We'll explore how Bloom’s Taxonomy can help you craft learning outcomes that are observable, achievable, and genuinely meaningful, and that naturally guide your assessments and learning activities. We’ll also share approaches for aligning your course-level outcomes with broader program-level goals, reinforcing the larger academic mission of your department.
