Participate and test your coding skills in Round 1 of the YoungWonks Coding Challenge (US Nationals) for elementary, middle and high schoolers in the United States.
This event will be split into two rounds which will take place on September 2025:
- Round 1: September 13, 2025. Multiple Choice Question screening. Virtual event.
- Round 2: September 20, 2025. Timed Coding Challenge. In-person event which will take place in Pleasanton, California. Only participants who pass Round 1 will be invited to compete in Round 2.
Round 1 participants will receive a coding proficiency assessment report regardless of their performance. It will list out all of the graded concepts that were covered during the Multiple Choice Question screening with their respective score.

Frequently asked questions
Round 1 consists of a multiple choice question screening contest in which participants answer challenging questions. Round 1 can be take in Python, C++ or Java. Those who successfully pass Round 1 will be invited to Round 2.
Round 1 has to be attended online (remotely) on Saturday September 13, 2025 at 10 am Pacific Time. This round lasts approximately 40 minutes.
Kids and teens ages 8-18 who live in the United States.
All participants who attend Round 1 will receive a coding proficiency assessment report regardless of their performance. It will list out all of the graded concepts that were covered during the MCQ screening with their respective score.
