Young Authors in the Making: What is imagination?

(Literacy-Based Event)

Join us at the Frisco Main Library for a fun and creative event all about imagination! This is the perfect opportunity for young writers to explore the power of their imagination through storytelling and writing activities.

What does it mean to imagine? How do authors come up with stories, characters, and worlds that don’t exist yet?

In this hands-on, literacy-based event, children will discover the power of imagination and how it fuels every great story. Through art, play, and guided writing activities, students will begin their journey as Young Authors in the Making!

This workshop is designed to spark creativity, boost literacy skills, and help students see themselves as storytellers and creators.

During this session, students will:
✏️ Learn what imagination is and how authors use it
🎨 Participate in creative drawing and storytelling activities
📖 Explore story examples that inspire imagination
💬 Share their ideas with peers in a fun and supportive space

By the end of the session, each student will leave inspired and ready to dream big — because every author starts with imagination.

Let your creativity run wild as we dive into the world of words and ideas.

Don't miss out on this exciting chance to unleash your inner author!
