About this event
Step inside one of pop culture’s most unforgettable stories, and hear it told at last by the man who lived it.
On Friday, November 14 at 6:00 pm, Barnes & Noble The Grove is proud to welcome Fab Morvan, part of the internationally acclaimed, Grammy-winning pop duo Milli Vanilli, and Parisa Rose, co-author and COO of The Los Angeles Tribune, for a rare in-person evening celebrating the release of Fab’s memoir, You Know It’s True: The Real Story of Milli Vanilli.
For decades, Fab’s story was told by others. Now, for the first time, he tells it himself. You Know It’s True is a raw and inspiring memoir of truth, healing, and redemption that speaks to anyone who has ever had to rebuild after the fall.
This exclusive event hosted by Fab Morvan and Parisa Rose invites readers to experience Fab’s story: the meteoric rise to global superstardom, the scandal that brought everything crashing down, and the private journey of grief, identity, and resilience that followed.
Event Format:
- 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Red carpet arrivals & select guest interviews hosted by Alisha Magnus-Louis with The Los Angeles Tribune
- 6:00 PM – 6:45 PM | Exclusive audiobook excerpt + behind-the-scenes look at how You Know It’s True came to life — the real story, straight from the authors Fab Morvan & Parisa Rose

About the Book:
You Know It’s True takes readers behind the flashbulbs and headlines to reveal the human story beneath one of the music industry’s most infamous scandals. From his childhood in Paris to worldwide superstardom alongside Rob Pilatus, Fab lived through one of the most surreal rises the entertainment world has ever seen. At the height of fame, everything imploded: the scandal, the shame, the silence, and the loss of a friend.
What followed was an even harder chapter: a private reckoning with grief, identity, and the universal search for acceptance. The memoir is a raw exploration of what it means to lose everything, and the resilience it takes to reclaim your voice and begin again. Copies of You Know It’s True will be for available for purchase at the event. Don't miss your chance to get a signed edition!
