About the Show

"You Didn't Ask" is a mixed-media exhibition exploring the quiet, unspoken conversations surrounding men's mental health. The title reflects how many of life's most important check-ins - about emotional load, relationships, work stress, or the hidden weight of chronic conditions like Type 1 Diabetes - often go unasked.

The show features work created over the last six years, capturing my own mental and emotional landscape across moments of growth, heaviness, humor, resilience, and silence.

At the center of this show is the scorpion, used as a symbolic anchor. The scorpion represents how difficult it can be to approach men about their mental health - not because they don't feel deeply, but because many are conditioned to react with guardedness, stingers out, armored and self-protected. The symbol reflects both the danger people perceive in asking, and the danger men feel in being vulnerable.

Thanks for being you, let's help those in need.
