What The Food returns to ‘Disrupt the Table’ this October, bringing together a community of chefs, thinkers, farmers, artists, and innovators to question the forces shaping tomorrow’s food system. This edition considers food as a medium of cultural, environmental, and creative urgency. Supported by Dubai Calendar.
You Can Write About Chips! is a writing workshop inspired by a prompt by the late Dr. Amber Hendricks that we can write about anything, even mundane objects like chips. It celebrates writing as a form of indulgence, archiving and revisiting memories. When things are moving too fast, we forget how salty our chips and how many bites were just air.
This workshop is an invitation to mindfully observe or reflect on little moments, like an ice cream that fell and you never had, that strawberry milk tucked in your school lunch box, or how water slithers after a good run.
