Event lasts 6 hours 30 minutes

The York Chess Summer school will be led by Aaron Rich with support from Ben and others. It will comprise dedicated coaching in the morning and a rapidplay competition with prizes in the afternoon. It is open to children from 8-15 years old and is for those who want to improve their chess playing rather than just play socially. It is targeted primarily at those with a playing strength up to 1500 rating (most York Chess Club members).

Expect to learn more about tactics, positioning and strategy from one of the strongest players in York, including looking at expert games, puzzles and learning exercises. 9.30-4.30pm. £25 per pupil (DM Ben for a private discussion on 07469159134 if this cost will exclude you.)
