Autumn in Cuyahoga Valley National Park is one of the most scenic times of year- and biking down the Towpath is an ideal way to soak the scenery in.
Park at Lock 29 trailhead in downtown Peninsula (or at the overflow parking if needed) and then meet our group at Eddy's Bike Shop, located across from the Lock 29 parking.
At Eddy's we will get our bikes and begin with a gentle, standing yoga practice to prepare for our biking adventure. Once we are all stretched we will embark on an approximately 7 mile round trip excursion along the Towpath Trail from Lock 29 down to Hunt House.
The Hunt House trailhead is located directly next to Szalay's Farm & Market where we will pause for lunch. Szalay's weekend eatery stands will be open and offer various foods including salmon burgers, brawts, hamburgers, roasted corn, lemonade, and soft serve. This is a CASH ONLY location. Sandwiches are around $4-5 each, corn and drinks around $2-3 each.
After taking time to pause for food we will bike back up the Towpath to Eddy's Bike Shop.
On our ride back we will stop part way for one more yoga/stretch break.
The entire program will take anywhere from 1.5-2 hours max.
