We all experience trauma. And these amazing bodies of ours assimilate and alchemize these life experiences. However, when our experiences are intense, and our body’s physical systems lack the strength to do this fully, we back-log these unprocessed experiences in the actual tissues of our body. This is generally known as our personal “trauma”, and it can (and does) alter our physical, psychological, intellectual, and emotional expression of self in the broader world. Join us as we explore the ways in which trauma impacts our bodies and our lives and learn yoga practices that will integrate all of our life experiences. Drawing on neuroscience, anatomy, and the lineage of Kundalini yoga, join a small group course to learn, practice, and discuss how our practice integrates into day to day growth.

This 6-week workshop will investigate the:

• Neurophysiology of trauma
  

• Emotional regulation and resiliency
  

• Dissociation and trauma processing
  

• How trauma is held in the body and how to re-develop an integral relationship with the body post-traumatic experience
  

• 6 weeks of yoga practices to help us digest and assimilate ALL of the experiences of our life
  

Anne Minter is Adjunct Professor of Human Anatomy & Physiology at Miami University where she also teaches yoga and meditation, merging the best of the East/West medicinal teachings in the body-minds of hundreds of physician-nurse-clinicians in training.
