Yoga and Journaling at Brooklinen DC. Treat yourself to a reset. Led by Kristen Zory King.

Join writer and yoga instructor Kristen Zory King for a restorative, heart opening yoga flow and journaling session to ground yourself in community, gratitude, and as the poet Rumi declared, the “hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.” In this 90 minute workshop, you will be led through breathwork, a gentle flow, and guided journaling prompts, examining gratitude as active pursuit via joyful movement, creative reflection, and intentional discussion.

Before our session, shop the store for soft home essentials, including our newest arrivals. Brooklinen is dedicated to ensuring you live your most comfortable life.

Please bring your yoga mat, a journal, and a writing utensil. You do not need to be an experienced writer, poet, or yogi to participate—beginners, journal-ers, and award winning writers all welcome!

About the Teaching Artist: Kristen Zory King is a writer based in Washington, DC. Recent work can be found in Electric Lit, The Citron Review, HAD, and SWWIM among others. In February 2025, her chapbook of flash fiction stories, "Ladies, Ladies, Ladies" was published by Stanchion. She is currently at work on a project exploring nature, spirituality, and community. In addition to her work on the page, Kris is also a creative teaching artist, yoga and Pilates instructor, and graduate student at George Mason University.
