This 3-week series is a gentle introduction to the basics of yoga. Each week combines short discussions with simple yoga practice, helping you get comfortable moving your body and exploring yoga poses in a safe, supportive way. Perfect for beginners or anyone who has been curious about yoga but unsure where to start.
You’ll build confidence, learn basic techniques, and experience the benefits of yoga for both body and mind.
Week 1
Learn the basics of yoga and an introduction to the 8 limbs. We’ll focus on the first two: Yamas and Niyamas (guidelines for living well). Followed by a gentle Hatha class to try simple, slow movements.
Week 2
Explore movement and focus with Asana (postures), Pratyahara (turning inward), and Dharana (concentration). Practice these through an easy, beginner-friendly Vinyasa (flow) class.
Week 3
Discover stillness and relaxation with Dharana, Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi peace). The class starts with a calming Yin session and ends with restorative poses to fully relax.
