Description:

This series focuses on intentional movement, bodily sensation, and simple self-applied Qigong massage. This series is designed for individuals who have the capability of standing independently and are interested to expand, sustain, or complement their movement or mindfulness practice. Individuals who suffer from heartburn, indigestion, inflexibility, weak muscle tone, or stiffness may benefit from this Qigong series.

All Osher Movement Classes are facilitated by an instructor with experience and specific training working with participants with chronic pain and conditions.

How our hybrid offerings work:

In-person classes sessions will be held at the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt at 3401 West End Avenue, Suite 380, Nashville TN 37203 (entrance is through the parking garage in the back of the building). Additional logistical information will be emailed to you prior to the class start date.

• Virtual class sessions will be accessible through the My Health at Vanderbilt portal (available through your web browswer and/or the MyHealth at Vanderbilt app). More info will be provided to join class upon registration.

Cancellation policy:

Participants may cancel up to one week before start date without penalty, after that date, there is a 20% cancellation fee. No refund is available after the class start date.

No, our Movement classes are not billable to insurance.

Do I need a referral to register for this class?

No referral needed for our Movement classes. Anyone can join!

What do I need for this class (clothing/props)?

If joining virtual, an exercise/yoga mat is helpful, but can be done without. We recommend wearing lose-fitting clothes. If joining in-person, props will be provided at the center.
