Yemanjo has been a respected name globally as a producer of diverse ethnic downtempo and folktronica music for some years…But on Friday Sept 26 he returns to Soft Medicine with a brand new set of fiery afrohouse beats designed to ignite the dance floor. Accompanied by local legend Nate Levin on guitar, his signature live trumpet and percussion, and showcasing recent collaborations with artists like Mose, Oveous, TÂCHES and others, Yemanjo is sure to bring a positive, unique and dynamic groove to the Sebastopol community.

Buckminster, aka DJ Zaphod, finds home in life's soundtrack: what sounds can enhance what's right here, waiting to emerge?

He was introduced to conscious dance as a baby, immersed in the Santa Cruz dance scene in 2014, and has been DJing since 2017. He's now the curator of a monthly ecstatic dance in Sebastopol, called Synergy.

Together with the dancers, he spontaneously curates an ecstatic wave unique to that moment's dancefloor. The boundaries of genre give way to a multi-faceted soundscape of African and South American rhythm, world house, grimy underground bass music, and heart-ful melodies aplenty with a story in between.
