Beth yw DEEP?
Mae DEEP yn ddull cydgynhyrchu o gasglu, archwilio, a defnyddio mathau amrywiol o dystiolaeth mewn dysgu a datblygu gan ddefnyddio dulliau stori a deialog.  

Deall lles a chreu amgylchedd da ar gyfer gofal a dysgu
Mae pobl a gefnogir gan ofal cymdeithasol ac iechyd yn aml yn profi amgylchiadau heriol. Mae cefnogi eu hymdeimlad o les yn flaenoriaeth. Yn yr un modd, gall gweithio mewn gwasanaethau iechyd a gofal cymdeithasol fod yn emosiynol feichus. Yn anffodus, nid yw’r cysyniad o les bob amser yn cael ei ddeall na’i feithrin yn dda. Er bod llawer o bwyslais ar weithgareddau dysgu a datblygu ymarferwyr, mae dysgu ymarferwyr (a lles pobl) yn cael ei beryglu os na chaiff lles emosiynol ei gefnogi.

Gofal sy'n canolbwyntio ar berthnasoedd a'r Fframwaith Synhwyrau
Datblygwyd gofal sy'n canolbwyntio ar berthnasoedd a'r Fframwaith Synnwyr trwy ymchwil gan Nolan a chydweithwyr yn 2006 a archwiliodd sut i wella ansawdd bywyd mewn cartrefi gofal ac ysbytai. Creodd Nolan a’i gydweithwyr fframwaith i arwain y gwaith o feithrin llesiant rhyngddibynnol, gan ganolbwyntio ar lesiant pobl a gefnogir gan wasanaethau, gofalwyr di-dâl, ac ymarferwyr. Mae’r fframwaith yn dweud, mewn amgylcheddau gofal a dysgu cyfoethog, y dylai pawb gael ‘ymdeimlad’ o sicrwydd, perthyn, parhad, pwrpas, cyflawniad, ac arwyddocâd.

Y sesiwn hon
Bydd y sesiwn hanner diwrnod hon yn cyflwyno cysyniadau gofal sy'n canolbwyntio ar berthnasoedd a lles rhyngddibynnol. Trwy archwilio’r chwe synnwyr yn y fframwaith, bydd y sesiwn yn cyflwyno ffyrdd o greu amgylcheddau gofal a dysgu cyfoethog.

Pwy allai elwa o'r sesiwn?
Bydd y sesiwn o fudd i bobl sydd â diddordeb mewn gwella lles ac ansawdd bywyd mewn gofal cymdeithasol a gwasanaethau iechyd. Mae hyn yn cynnwys aelodau o'r cyhoedd, pobl a gefnogir gan wasanaethau, a gofalwyr di-dâl yn ogystal ag ymarferwyr a rheolwyr. Bydd y sesiwn hefyd yn ddefnyddiol i fyfyrwyr a hyfforddwyr sy’n gweithio ar Gymwysterau Iechyd a Gofal Cymdeithasol, gan fod dysgu am y Fframwaith Synhwyrau yn ofynnol o dan lefelau 2 a 5 y cymwysterau hyn.

What is DEEP? 
DEEP is a co-production approach to gathering, exploring, and using diverse types of evidence in learning and development using story and dialogue-based methods. 

Understanding wellbeing and creating a good environment for care and learning

People supported by social care and health often experience challenging circumstances. Supporting their sense of wellbeing is a priority. Likewise, working in health and social care services can be emotionally demanding. Unfortunately, the concept of wellbeing is not always well understood or nurtured. While there is a lot of emphasis on practitioner learning and development activities, practitioner learning (and people’s wellbeing) is compromised if emotional wellbeing is not supported.

Relationship-centred care and the Senses Framework 
Relationship-centred care and the Sense Framework were developed through research by Nolan and colleagues in 2006 that explored how to improve quality of life in care homes and hospitals. Nolan and his colleagues created a framework to guide the nurturance of interdependent wellbeing, focusing on the wellbeing of people supported by services, unpaid carers, and practitioners. The framework says that in enriched environments of care and learning, everyone should have a ‘sense’ of security, belonging, continuity, purpose, achievement, and significance.

This session

This half-day session will introduce the concepts of relationship-centred care and interdependent wellbeing. Through exploring the six senses in the framework, the session will introduce ways to create enriched environments of care and learning.

Who might benefit from the session?

The session will benefit people interested in improving wellbeing and quality of life in social care and health services. This includes members of the public, people supported by services, and unpaid carers as well as practitioners and managers. The session will also be useful to students and trainers working on Health and Social Care Qualifications, as learning about the Senses Framework is a requirement under levels 2 and 5 of these qualifications.
