Do I need to have writing experience to attend this workshop?

Accepted Answer

No! Just a desire and willingness to tell your story. We're not concerned with spelling, grammar, syntax or any of that. We just want to hear your story. And we are also here to help you edit and get to the essence of what you want to say, if that's something you're interested in.

Question 2

Do I need to be kinky to attend?

Accepted Answer

No! We invite people to share their erotic stories, kinky or not. For us, that means stories of feeling seduced & aroused by life - whether that's in relationship with yourself, others, the natural world or beyond. This is about YOUR sexual life force energy & how that can fuel creative expression.

Question 3

If I attend the performance & am inspired to attend the whole series, can I sign up after the 5th?

Accepted Answer

Yes! The performance is meant to ignite you! And if you feel like you want to join us to write your own story after you see it, you are welcome to sign up until the morning of the 12th, before the first class starts at 5 p.m. PST.

Question 4

Do we need to keep our cameras on during these zoom calls?

Accepted Answer

During the performances (sessions 1 and 4), yes. B/c of the nature of the content, and b/c the power of being witnessed is amplified by a present, visible audience, we require you to be on camera during the performance portion of the event. This also creates safety in the space. For the writing, no.

Question 5

What will happen during office hours?

Accepted Answer

We will hold a separate zoom call between weeks 2 and 3, where folks can come to write, ask questions of the facilitators, and get feedback on the writing, if desired. It's also a space of accountability to support you to prioritize writing time.

Question 6

Will the group performance in session 4 be open to the public?

Accepted Answer

No, only KJ's performance will be open to anyone. Once we begin the container, we remain a closed group until the end, in the interest of creating safety and rapport that will hopefully support you to feel held while you share your story.

Question 7

I feel REALLY shy about sex. Talking about it is hard for me. Is this a space for me?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. This space will be held by 3 experienced, loving, and encouraging folks who have experienced this fear as well. It's a perfect opportunity to lean into the edge of expansion and try on sharing an erotic story. And, it doesn't have to be explicit. It can be whatever feels safest for you.
