About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

This training is intended to equip parents and caregivers with valuable information about interactive screen use and its effect on youth. We will examine how children engage in this type of technology (gaming, tablets, smart phones, social media etc.), what this means for development, how to evaluate and mitigate risk and what we can do to support our children, create balance, get help when needed and increase their overall well-being.

This training is perfect for parents in the Orange County area looking to:

1. Learn the difference between passive and interactive screen use

2. Understand why screen use can become problematic for children

3. Create a plan for developing healhty boundaries in your home around screen use

4. Recognize how we model with our own screen use habits and choices

5. Become informed on what positively impacts a child's brain development

There is a minimum registration requirement of 10 participants in order for this training to be facilitated. If there are fewer than 10 participants, the training will be rescheduled for the upcoming month. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
