Should I bring a chair?

Yes. Especially if you plan to stay late or early into the morning hours.

Will there be snacks, coffee and other drinks?

Accepted Answer

We only charge a small fee for "fancy" coffee. If you purchase a WVAA heat changing coffee mug, one free cup of "fancy" coffee will be provided. Our regular coffee is free.

Do I need an app on my mobile device to connect to the Smart Telescopes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Since mobile phone service is potentially an issue at this site, it is recommended to download the app before you arrive. For the Seestar S30 & 50, you can visit the Apple or Android store. https://www.seestar.com/download. For the Dwarf 3, you can also search the Apple or Android store.

What is a WVAA Star Party like?

We will begin w/ introductions, have a short discussion on what we're about, a brief training session on using the Seestars, & get imaging once the Sun goes down. We will work w/ individuals on the Seestars all evening & night. Please check out member astrophotographer gear & ask questions, etc.
