WSDOT Cascadia High-Speed Rail, I-5 Program, and Multimodal Coordination

By WTS Puget Sound/Seattle

Overview

Join WTS Puget Sound for a lunch panel on the WSDOT Cascadia High-Speed Rail, I-5 Program, and Multimodal Coordination.

The Cascadia Megaregion, spanning from Portland to Vancouver B.C. via Seattle, will add three to four million people between 2020 and 2050. In anticipation of this growth, WSDOT is advancing several major planning efforts focused on shaping the future of the transportation system in western Washington. Hear from several planning leaders representing Amtrak Cascades, the I-5 system, and Cascadia High-Speed Rail (HSR) about coordination efforts. The panel will feature:

  • Chelsea Levy (HDR) – Cascadia HSR Project Manager
  • Erinn Ellig (Parametrix) – I-5 Master Plan Lead
  • Jason Beloso (WSDOT) – Rail, Freight and Ports Division, Amtrak Cascades Planning Manager
  • Moderator: Clair Leighton (HDR) – Cascadia HSR and I-5 Program Deputy Program Administrator for Communications and Strategy
