WSA Summer Show 2025 - (un)fold

Mae’n bleser gennyn ni eich gwahodd chi i Sioe Haf Ysgol Pensaernïaeth Cymru 2025. Bydd yr arddangosfa hon yn cyflwyno gwaith gan fyfyrwyr Ysgol Pensaernïaeth Cymru yn ystod blwyddyn academaidd 2024/2025.

We are pleased to invite you to the WSA Summer Show 2025, This exhibition will present work produced by the Welsh School of Architecture students during the 2024/2025 academic year.

This year’s exhibition theme, (un)fold, provides a framework for students to
explore the evolving nature of architecture—an ongoing process of unfolding reveals
discoveries embedded within its layers. It invites the students to capture the
development of ideas, emphasising the essence of
exploration, iteration, and critical engagement alongside the final images.

The Exhibition aims to contribute to the Welsh School of Architecture’s reciprocal relationship with students, by giving students a chance to unfold their skills and projects developed throughout the year and showcase them to a wider audience. Vice versa, this process requires folding complex thoughts and themes into beautiful and meaningful imagery. This process inspired the theme of this year’s show: (un)fold – a testament to the complexity and dual meaning of architecture: a form of art, yet a technical and down-to-earth profession.

Thema'r arddangosfa eleni yw (dat)blygu, ac mae’n cynnig fframwaith i fyfyrwyr drin a thrafod natur esblygol pensaernïaeth – proses barhaus o ddatblygu sy'n datgelu darganfyddiadau yn ei haenau.

Mae'n gwahodd y myfyrwyr i gofnodi datblygiad syniadau, gan bwysleisio gwerth archwilio, ailadrodd ac ymgysylltu beirniadol ochr yn ochr â'r delweddau terfynol.

Nod yr arddangosfa hon yw cyfrannu at berthynas ddwyochrog Ysgol Pensaernïaeth Cymru â myfyrwyr drwy roi cyfle i fyfyrwyr ddatblygu eu sgiliau a’u prosiectau a’u harddangos i gynulleidfa ehangach. I'r gwrthwyneb, mae'r broses hon yn gofyn troi safbwyntiau a themâu cymhleth yn ddelweddau hardd ac ystyrlon. Roedd y broses hon wedi ysbrydoli thema’r sioe eleni: (dat)blygu – tyst i gymhlethdod ac ystyr deuol pensaernïaeth: math o gelf, ond proffesiwn technegol a diffwdan.
