In 1988 Michael O’Brien and two other men were found guilty of bludgeoning a Cardiff newsagent to death with a spade. Only they didn’t do it – they had nothing to do with this horrible crime. Eleven years later they walked free as the Court of Appeal agreed that the evidence told a different story.

For the last twenty-five years, Michael has fought - using the knowledge of law gained in prison libraries and steel-like determination – taking on governments and institutions and winning justice for many victims of the system.

Now he wants to share his life beyond bars, to bring hope and courage to those troubled by injustice in our society.

Hosted by Andy Marshall Justice campaigner and chair of the Justice For The Cardiff 5 Campaign.
