During this online presentation, Debra Klomp Ching will provide andoverview of the essential written materials, that all artists should produce and have ready. These include:

  • Resumé and CV
  • Biography
  • Artist Statement
  • Project Statement

The presentation will provide a definition and description of all of the above, an analysis of each, and a demonstration with an example of good practice.

The presentation will also provide an example of how these important written materials are utilized by third parties such as marketing professionals, galleries and art consultants.

Finally, we'll look at instances where your writing will be actioned; media releases, social media, guest blogs, and emails of introduction.

This online webinar will be useful to all artists, whatever the discipline. Knowledge gained from this presentation can be applied to applications for funding/residencies, submissions to open calls/competitions, for pitches to galleries/art consultants/collectors and for use on an artist's website.
